Singing bowls that meet an intensive care doctor's requirements.

Professional singing bowls, handmade in Nepal from bell bronze and matched into sets that sound in unison and meet the demands of a method built by an anaesthesiologist and intensive care doctor.

Research into the effects of sound resonance therapy is under way at the Detox-Plus medical centre (Kalmykia, Russia). The studies are conducted under the supervision of qualified specialists, using medical equipment. Materials will be published across all our media platforms.

What we offer

A sound healing session in Kuala Lumpur

Would you like to feel what a bowl massage is? To feel a deep, pleasant vibration spreading through the body and the nervous system? A vibration that reaches deeper than human hands can, yet relaxes more effectively and more gently? Or to sink into the sound and find out what a sound bath really means — to hear the widest spectrum of overtones weaving into one another, while the body feels the soft touch of the sound wave? The session relieves muscle tension, reduces stiffness and stimulates circulation and lymph flow. Further detail and booking via the link below. Sessions take place at The Soho Suites KLCC, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Sessions and booking

For your own use

Sometimes you want an evening with family or friends, somewhere calm and unhurried. Sometimes you want the opposite — to be on your own and let the tension of a hard day go, with no time to book a session. And sometimes the people close to you simply need a short, relaxing massage. Tell us what you are choosing an instrument for, and we will help you make the right choice.

Spas, hotels, wellness centres and small business

Are you planning to widen your list of services, or to raise the level of your service? Our methods and protocols differ from the most widespread approaches to sound therapy: the method is patented, the protocols are written down, and specialists are certified on each of them separately. Since September 2026 the effect has been under study at the Detox-Plus medical centre. We can take on the training of your staff, the equipping of your room and the complete fitting out of your spa rooms — down to certified Healingbowl® specialists. Write to us in whichever way suits you.

Every set is hand-forged and assembled by a Healingbowl® specialist

Every set — massage bowls and singing bowls alike — is made by hand in Kathmandu to defined requirements and assembled individually by Healingbowl® specialists. Each one is unique in its characteristics and built for particular tasks and a particular depth of relaxation. The parameters of the bowls and the sets are standardised to the sound resonance and vibro-acoustic protocols. Massage bowls work in the range from 65 to 110 Hz, acoustic bowls from 90 to 500 Hz. The full catalogue of bowls is available via the link below. The trademark is protected.

A Healingbowl® massage bowl means deep, even vibration and simple handling, in a premium finish.

The vibration from a bowl travels through soft tissue deeper than hands can reach, and the muscle tension that has built up leaves gently and pleasantly. The requirements for these bowls — for massage, self-massage and deep relaxation — were written by Healingbowl® specialists with years of practice in clinics and wellness centres. The bowls themselves are forged by Nepali craftsmen, under the supervision of our technologists. Every characteristic matters: how hard or soft the metal is, how well the rim is finished, what frequency of vibration the bowl produces and what deep low-frequency sound accompanies it. All of it together determines the relaxing effect of the work. Below is a video showing what Healingbowl® massage bowls can do.

Forty-five minutes that can be repeated

Sound resonance and vibro-acoustic therapy by the Healingbowl® method sets the notes, the order, the timings and the positions in advance. That is what allows two different specialists to deliver the same session — and makes it a service a spa can put on its menu with a predictable length and content. Dr. Surikov built the protocols himself, on fourteen years of clinical practice and his own work with the instrument since 2009.

The method in full — protocols, the science, the limits

He did not come from spiritual teachings. He came from intensive care.

Dr. Viktor Surikov qualified in anaesthesiology and intensive care and spent fourteen years in clinical practice. In intensive care you quickly learn how the body is built and how it works, which protocols are effective and which are not.

He grew up in the Russian Far East, close enough to China, Korea and Japan for Asian medicine to be nothing exotic — it was used in everyday life. When he encountered singing bowls in 2009, he could not find a single reliable source on how exactly they act, and began studying the practice himself.

Bowls are hand-forged in Kathmandu under the supervision of Healingbowl® specialists

It begins with the requirements for the parameters of a bowl, worked out over years of practice in sound resonance and vibro-acoustic therapy. We place the order with craftsmen who have earned our trust, so that the instruments come out with better characteristics from the start. The forging technology is far more complex and far longer than in mass production. It takes repeated cycles of heating and re-forging for the bowl to acquire a denser molecular structure, and with it a longer sustain and a wide spectrum of overtones

After that come the technically demanding stages of design, polishing and engraving, before a bowl becomes a professional instrument for sound therapy. Nothing is pressed and nothing is stamped. That is why professional singing and massage sets cost more.

02

Forging in cycles

Three or four craftsmen strike in turn, and the disc goes back into the fire again and again. A single heating would be quicker, but the bowl it produced would ring once and fall silent.

03

Turning

Wall thickness is evened out to the figure specified for that bowl — this is what sets the pitch.

What are singing bowls actually made of?

Ask any seller in Kathmandu and you will hear that a singing bowl contains seven metals, matching the seven chakras and the seven notes. A beautiful legend. We sent the bowls for spectral analysis instead.

Optical emission spectrometry on a sample from our production, carried out by a German laboratory. Its own conclusion: a composition typical of bell bronze — the alloy used for church bells and cymbals. The high tin content is not a story. It is a measured figure, and it is what gives the long decay and the overtone spectrum.

Lab data is more reliable than legend.
