This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used and shared when you visit or make a purchase from https://healingbowl.asia (the "Site"). It should be read together with our Personal Data Protection Notice, which sets out your rights under the Malaysian Personal Data Protection Act 2010.
Personal information we collect
Device information
When you visit the Site we automatically collect certain information about your device, including your web browser, IP address, time zone and some of the cookies installed on your device. As you browse, we also collect information about the pages and products you view, the websites or search terms that referred you to the Site, and how you interact with it.
Cookies are data files placed on your device that often include an anonymous unique identifier. You can find general information about cookies at allaboutcookies.org, and you can refuse or delete them through your browser settings, though parts of the Site may then not work as intended.
Order information
When you make or attempt to make a purchase we collect your name, billing address, shipping address, payment information, email address and telephone number.
Where you book a session or a course with us, we also collect the information you give us when arranging the appointment, including health information, so that we can choose the right protocol for you. Health information is sensitive personal data under the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 and we process it only with your explicit consent, given separately when you book. You are not obliged to provide it; if you prefer not to, we will offer you the acoustic format, for which it is not needed. Our Personal Data Protection Notice sets out how we handle it.
Throughout this policy, "personal information" means both device information and order information.
How we use your personal information
We use order information to:
- process your order, take payment, arrange shipping and issue invoices and confirmations;
- communicate with you about your order, your appointment and our services;
- screen orders for potential risk or fraud;
- send you information about our products and services, where you have consented to receive it.
We use device information to screen for risk and fraud, to improve and optimise the Site, to generate analytics about how customers browse, and to assess the performance of our marketing.
Sharing your personal information
We share personal information with third parties only so far as it is needed to run the Site and fulfil your order:
- delivery and logistics providers, to ship your order;
- payment processors, to take payment;
- analytics providers, to understand how the Site is used;
- fraud prevention and security providers.
We use Google Analytics to understand how customers use the Site. Google's own privacy policy is available at google.com/policies/privacy, and you can opt out of Google Analytics at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
We do not sell your personal information. Other than as set out in this policy and in our Personal Data Protection Notice, we do not disclose your personal information to third parties without your prior consent, unless disclosure is necessary to fulfil an order you have placed or is required of us by law.
Cross-border transfer
Our instruments are made in Nepal, and orders may be fulfilled from outside Malaysia. Where this is the case your personal information may be transferred to and processed in a country other than Malaysia, and we will take reasonable steps to ensure that it receives a comparable level of protection.
Advertising
We may use your personal information to show you advertisements we believe are relevant to you. You can manage your advertising preferences directly with the platforms concerned, including Facebook Ad Preferences and Google Ad Settings.
We use the Meta pixel and Google Ads conversion tracking to measure how our advertising performs. Both place cookies on your device and report to Meta and to Google that you visited the Site or completed an action on it, such as sending an enquiry or placing an order. You can limit this through the advertising settings linked above and through your browser's cookie settings.
Please note that we do not currently alter the Site's data collection practices in response to a Do Not Track signal from your browser.
Your rights
Under the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 you have the right to:
- request access to the personal data we hold about you;
- request that inaccurate, incomplete or out-of-date data be corrected;
- withdraw your consent to our processing of your personal data;
- ask us to stop processing your personal data for direct marketing purposes.
To exercise any of these rights, write to us at info@healingbowl.asia or at the postal address at the top of this page. We will respond within 21 days, the period set by the Act. Please note that withdrawing consent may mean we can no longer supply the products or services you have asked for.
Data retention
We keep order information for as long as needed to fulfil the order and to meet our accounting, tax and legal obligations, and after that no longer than our retention policy requires. You may ask us to delete your information at any time, subject to those obligations.
Age
The Site is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or for operational, legal or regulatory reasons. The current version is always published on this page with the date it took effect. Where a change materially affects how we use information you have already given us, we will tell you.
